RON AGAM

Born in 1958 and raised between Paris and Rehovot, Israel, Ron Agam came to painting later in life, following a long and accomplished career as a fine art photographer. Since embracing the medium, his creative output has been remarkably prolific, spanning a wide range of techniques and visual languages—from lenticular and optical experiments to richly saturated color fields. Across this evolving body of work, Agam explores perception itself, using color, movement, and form to probe the act of seeing and its metaphysical implications.

Guided by intuition rather than preconception, Agam approaches painting as an open-ended journey. As his body of work has grown into hundreds of pieces, a recurring theme has emerged: a lifelong curiosity rooted in the wonder first felt when contemplating the vastness of the world. His meditative, transcendent canvases invite viewers to step beyond the familiar, restoring a sense of mystery and inquiry that speaks to both artistic freedom and the enduring nature of human imagination.
